Ten George Street
PROJECT DETAILS
Award-Winning Stone Cladding
Located in the heart of Wood Wharf’s dynamic regeneration zone, Ten George Street—also known as Buildings E1 and E2—is a flagship Build-to-Rent tower developed by Vertus. Blending residential and retail spaces, the building stands as a central pillar of the growing Canary Wharf community.
Commercial Stone was appointed to deliver a full façade cladding solution across both towers, encompassing the North and West elevations of Building E1, and the North, South, and East elevations of Building E2. Our scope included the full installation of a high-performance Rainscreen Cladding System—designed for both aesthetic appeal and long-term durability.
The system featured an SFS (Steel Framing System) backing wall with insulation and sheathing boards, overlaid with a detailed façade build-up including EPDM, firebreaks to specified fire ratings, and Jura Limestone cladding. Giallo Santa Cecilia granite plinths were also installed to the base of all elevations, adding warmth and contrast to the tower’s clean architectural lines.
Works included precise lining, levelling, and alignment of all façades, with geometric control rigorously maintained from floor to floor using a primary control system established during initial setting-out phases.

Results Achieved
Over 2,000 sqm of natural stone cladding was successfully installed across Ten George Street, delivering a visually striking and technically robust façade. The completed system met all fire safety, performance, and aesthetic requirements—contributing to the architectural quality and award-winning status of this landmark Build-to-Rent development in Wood Wharf.
